General Notes: Husband - Benjamin Evans


His parents settled at Brady's Bend, in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. There he grew to manhood, was an oil field worker in his younger years, served as a private in the One Hundred and Twenty-ninth Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, three years, 1862-65; an oil driller until 1878; then until his death, aged seventy-six, a farmer, owning his own land.

He and his wife were the parents of seven children.
