General Notes: Husband - Walter Fullerton


He was born on a farm of 102 acres, in North Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, which was situated on the lower Mt. Jackson-Petersburg road, two miles southwest of the former place. He lived on this farm through his entire life with the exception of the last few years. He retired to New Castle.

He enlisted at Mt. Jackson, Pennsylvania, April 27, 1861, at the age of 23 years, in Battery B, 1st Pa. V. L. A. Promoted Corporal and Sergeant, and with his command participated in the engagements at Drainsville, Seven Days fight before Richmond, second Bull Run, South Mountain and Antietam; contracted rheumatism and was injured by a shell explosion in front of Richmond in June, 1862; discharged at Brooks Station, Virginia, on surgeon's certificate of disability, December 13, 1862. He was a member of New Castle Post, 100, G. A. R.
He was a member of the General Assembly of the State of Pennsylvania for the year 1879.
