General Notes: Husband - Cyrus Paige Fay


He removed from Vermont and was one of the earliest settlers and most honored citizens of Columbus, Ohio. He went to that city with his brother-in-law, Philander Chase, a Bishop of Ohio, and founder of Kenyon College, about the beginning of the 1800s, and with that illustrious man had much to do with the early civilization of that part of the state. [HVC 1879, 486]

He was for many years a prominent merchant of Columbus, Ohio, and at the time of his death was treasurer of the Columbus and Xenia Railway Company. He was a man of the highest character and standing. [HVC 1890, 774]
