General Notes: Husband - Robert S. Lecky

He removed from Martinsburg, West Virginia, and located at the corner of Virgin alley and Wood street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he and his brother William manufactured coaches. He had the honor of establishing the first reading-school in Pittsburgh. Though held on Sundays, it was not of the nature of a Sunday-school, as no religious services were held; but the children were gathered in an upper room and taught to read. Complaint was made regarding the school, but it was decided that it was not dangerous to the children, and he was permitted to continue.
