General Notes: Husband - John Early

He was a native of Jesingen, in the kingdom of Würtemberg, Germany. The sponsors at his baptism were George Spitz and Anna Algayer. He emigrated to America in 1750, arriving at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he took the oath of allegiance to English rule on the 24th of August that year. He was a carpenter by trade, and at first stopped at Reading, probably for employment, but he subsequently secured the title to a large tract of land in then Derry township, Lancaster County, called "Betimes," on which he resided until his death. He was buried at Bindnagel's Church, on the south bank of the Swatara.
