General Notes: Husband - Daniel Eagley

He worked at blacksmithing for some years, carrying on his business near his residence. He kept from 30 to 50 swarms of bees, and sold bees and had home demand for honey. He owned a fine brick residence, and 22 acres of land, part of his father's homestead, situated on the banks of Lake Erie, where he created a summer resort. Here he kept boats for the accommodation of the public. He had a fine dining hall, with two rows of tables, and kitchen attached; in the grove near by, there were speakers' and band stands, swings, etc. He had a register for guests to record their names, and kept a plentiful supply of ice, etc.
Mr. Eagley was a member of the Universalist Church. In politics, he was a Republican.
