She was educated at Grove City College and a graduate of the Allegheny General Hospital School of Nurs-ing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She served as nurse in the vicinity of Pittsburgh until she retired about 1920. She was an active worker in the Hen-dersonville Methodist Church.
