General Notes: Husband - John F. Mohney

During his younger years he was variously employed, but about 1890 he became proprietor of a livery, feed and sale stable in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. His stable was located in the rear of the Commercial Hotel, and he gave special attention to the wants of the traveling men. He had a fine line of carriages of all kinds, good driving horses and experienced drivers. He was one of the promoters of the telephone line, which had been established in Indiana, Jefferson and Clarion counties, and was a stockholder and director of the company.
Politically, Mr. Mohney was identified with the Democratic party, and socially, he affiliated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Knights of the Maccabees. He served as health officer and chairman of the borough of New Bethlehem.
