General Notes: Husband - James Garrett Dunbar

After attending the public schools he completed his studies in the Frankfort Springs Academy. For several years he taught school in that locality, and was then employed on the home farm. In 1890 he became proprietor of a furniture store in East Liverpool, Ohio, but soon afterward moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and there established as a real estate dealer. He conducted successful operations in that field of effort, his home having been in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, beginning in 1901. The Masonic Order is the fraternal society to which he belonged, his membership being in Burgettstown Lodge, No. 454, Free and Accepted Masons, while with his wife he was a communicant of the Presbyterian Church. He was allied with no political party, his judgment as to candidates being his only guide at the polls. [GPHWP, 565]
