Alex Dudick, 78, 47 West St., North East, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 1996, at Hamot Medical Center. He was born in Ellwood City, May 24, 1918, son of the late Andrew and Ann Steeh Dudick. Mr. Dudick worked as a machinist at the Electric Materials Co., in North East before retiring in 1968. He also served as a Sergeant with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Prisoner of War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North East. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred M. Prindle Dudick, on
Feb 19 1988; a brother, Mike Dudick; and a sister, Ann Smeltz. Survivors include two sons, Ronald H. Dudick of Texas and Robert Dudick of North East; a daughter, Patricia Ann Hodge of Aliquippa; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral services there at 6 p.m. The Rev. Patrick Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be at North East
Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of North East, 43 S. Lake St., North East, Pa. 16428; or to a charity of one's choice.

Mildred M. Prindle Dudick, 69, 10644 West Main Road, Lot 78, Emerald Lane, North East, died Friday at Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Sherman, NY, March 11, 1918, a daughter of the late Jess Rufus and Mae Lena Tressler Prindle. She graduated from North East High School in 1936 and graduated from Erie Infants Home and Hospital with honors. She was a telephone operator in North East for many years and at the General Electric Co. for 14 years. Prior to her retirement in 1975, she worked on the production line at Welch Food in North East. She was a member of First Baptist Church in North East, where she taught Sunday School, was past president of the Sunday School Class and served as church secretary to Rev. Ivan Shreve in 1935 and 1936. She was preceded in death by a brother, Miller E. Prindle; and a sister, Muriel M. Meehl. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Alex Dudick; two sons, Ronald H. Dudick of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Robert Dudick of North East; a daughter, Patricia Ann Hodge of Alliquippa, Pa.; a sister, Margaret Luebke of North East; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 South Lake, North East, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John R. Elliot officiating. Burial will be at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 43 South Lake, North East, Pa. 16428; or the charity of one's choice.
