General Notes: Husband - Henry Dubbs


He learned the "art preservative" in the Franklin Gazette office. For about a year and a half he worked for Col. James Bleakley. He then engaged in the drug business, and his store was called the "old stand" for it was the first and the old-est drug store in the county. He served two years as county treasurer, three, as county commissioner, and one, as county auditor. He was Burgess, Mayor and Alderman of the city. He was one of the original firemen, and was captain of Cornplanter Fire Company. He was adjutant of the 85th regi-ment Pennsylvania Militia, on the 100 days service. [HVC 1879, 493]

He was residing in Seatle, Washington, in 1890.
