General Notes: Husband - Thomas Morgan

He came to Morganza, Washington County, Pennsylvania, with his brother's family in 1796. He studied law in Pittsburgh, and was admitted to practice in Washington County in 1813. He was elected to the Legislature of the State in 1814-15, was prothonotary from 1821-23, postmaster at Washington, Pennsylvania, from 1829 to 1839. He was prominent in the organization of the Franklin Bank (later the First National), and of the Washington Female Seminary.
