His date of birth may be May 21.

He was the chief engineer at the Polk State School from the time it was founded until he retired in November, 1936. He was president of the Polk District school board and helped develop the Polk playground. He was active in the Polk Methodist Church and a 32nd-degree Mason. Upon retirement, he would go to Melbourne, FL, for the winter. He died of a stroke suffered in April, 1938.
