General Notes: Husband - Joseph Irons

---

He followed the river for twelve years, beginning at the age of sixteen years, then returned to the farm. He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian congregation of Ohio, of which he was ruling elder for fifteen years. He was once a Whig, and later a Republican. He was supervisor and county commissioner.
